Our Opportunity

Location: Christmas Creek, located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

Roster: 8 days / 6 off – FIFO ex Perth

A unique opportunity has come up for a self-motivated, flexible and proactive Registered Nurse/Registered Paramedic to join our Christmas Creek Team.

Reporting to the Health, Security and Emergency Services Superintendent, you will provide medical care in both emergency and non-emergency treatment and promote health care to all site personnel in accordance with Fortescue's policies and procedures.

Being well versed in interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills, you will also be responsible to maintain treatment facilities, site ambulance and all equipment to the highest standards, along with a strong commitment to emergency response and confidence in your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs to effectively manage rapidly changing situations and ensure high quality patient care
Demonstrate a sound knowledge of medical online programs such as Excel and maintain confidential, accurate and detailed medical treatment records
Provide training and support to the Emergency Services and Response Teams
Daily emergency and medical care of all personnel and work an on-call roster
Demonstrate proficiency using OSHA guidelines and FMG policies and procedures when classifying and treating injuries
Ability to coordinate and manage COVID testing and isolation protocols on site

Qualifications And Experience

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse/Registered Paramedic with no restrictions
Demonstrated Post Grad experience is essential
Advanced clinical assessment skills
Experience in emergency nursing/paramedicine is preferred
Current Australian manual driver's licence
