Consultant in Acute Medicine - Derby Location: Derby, UKSalary: £105,000 - £139,000 based on experienceContract Type: Permanent (Substantive) or Fixed-Term Considered An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Acute Medicine to join a progressive and dynamic team in Derby. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated clinician with a passion for acute care to enhance our expanding Acute Medicine service. About the Role:

Provide high-quality, patient-centred care within the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Same-Day Emergency Care (SDEC).
Lead and support the rapid assessment, diagnosis, and management of acutely unwell patients.
Work within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient flow and enhance care pathways.
Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide teaching, training, and mentorship to junior doctors and allied health professionals.

Requirements:

Evidence of entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCT at the time of the interview.
CCT in Acute Medicine, General Internal Medicine, or an equivalent qualification.
Strong clinical skills in the management of acutely unwell patients.
Commitment to service development, innovation, and teamwork.
